Earth Day lesson
Standing O is sending out straight As to junior and senior students in the Education Department, and members in the Future Educators Association, for imparting good advice and wisdom to freshmen at St. Edmund Preparatory High School at a special Earth Day lesson.
The upperclassman instructed ninth graders in Philip Fama’s art class in the importance of recycling, environmental issues, the dangers to wildlife, and some really interesting facts about our planet. After the juniors and seniors completed the lesson, Mr. Fama’s students designed T-shirts based on what they had learned.
At the end of the class the students learned that all of us can make a difference when it comes to protecting our environment.
