Friends, relatives, and staff celebrated Lee Rosenberg’s momentous 100th birthday on June 6 at the JASA Trump 4 Us NORC facility with a cake, candles, and a glowing sing-along.
Lee does not let age slow her down — the centenarian is a member of the co-op’s singing group that meets every Wednesday to warble a tune or two from songs that were popular back in the day.
Standing O — along with JASA staff and Lee’s son Robert Rosenberg — wishes the birthday gal a very happy birthday and many more.

A sparkling shout-out to Heba Shaaban, the amazingly smart junior from Bay Ridge, who nabbed a $30,000, four-year, college scholarship from the American Museum of Natural History.
The aspiring research biologist studied the protein sequences of the false moray eel (kaupichthys hyproroides) at the museum’s genomics research lab, with Dr. Shaadi Fatemeh Pooytaei Mehr. Heba explored new methods to increase information about the genetic markers and protein content in the eel.
Heba is in the final year of the museum’s Science Research Mentoring Program that helps youngsters collaborate with scientists, and access its collections and facilities.
Heba was one of three super students who won the prestigious award, according to Ellen Futter, president of the American Museum of Natural History.
“In a highly competitive selection process, this year’s honorees distinguished themselves with their grasp of research methods, creative approaches, and commitment to scientific excellence,” she said. “We are pleased to recognize these outstanding and inspiring young scientists as they embark on their college careers.”

It’s vintage fashion on wheels! Entrepreneur Laura Lanz Frolio got the idea to put classic clothing in her refurbished 1968 Shasta trailer from checking out all those mobile foodie trucks. Bingo, off went the light bulb, and La Poubelle Vintage hit the road.

Laura’s mobile clothing boutique will celebrate its launch on July 13, with hot dogs, cocktails, giveaways, and discounts.
Standing O pal Laura filled her one-of-a-kind trailer — which she hopes to update weekly — with fab fashion items and accessories from the 1930s through the 1980s, for men and women. Expect a stylish trip down memory lane, complete with mod-mini dresses, bohemian maxis, glamor shorts, retro sunglasses, summer tops, and bow ties.
