Stan’s has his opinions on Israel

I am holding in my hand a magazine dated May 30, 2014. In it there is an informational paragraph telling me about the first-ever global study of anti-Semitic activities.

This study says that there are strong anti-Jewish views in a quarter of the world’s population. In the 101 nations surveyed, 26 percent of the respondents agreed with at least six of the 11 negative statements about Jews, including “Jews have too much power over the global media” and “Jews have too much power in the business world.”

So Jews are successful and one fourth of the world dislikes them because of that success.

Those are the numbers from before the Gaza war. With the overwhelming battle successes of Israel, we can only wonder what the numbers are today. We do know that while Israel is winning the actual hostilities, Hamas is running away with the propaganda war. Israel is so far ahead that if this was a boxing match, it would have been stopped in the second round.

Europe has been the home of anti-Semitism, the likes of which haven’t been seen since the days of Adolph Hitler. In France, Jews are being beaten for no reason at all, swastikas are being painted on businesses owned by Jews and on synagogues, and, recently, there was another Kristallnacht. More than 150,000 French Jews have already moved to Israel and at this moment another 5,000 are packed and ready to go. It is interesting to note that they would prefer to reside in a war zone than in France, a nation that is now filled with hate. Nazi banners that once upon a time flew from the Bastille and were removed many years ago have now been replaced with Hamas flags.

How can self-respecting Jews remain in the homeland in which they were born and are now being treated this way?

They can’t.

In his Labor Day speech, Vice-President Joe Biden shouted, “It’s time to take back America.”

Really, Joe? Think about who gave it away.

We always knew that it was tax and spend, and more tax and spend. With your administration up there, it became borrow and spend, and more borrow and spend. There were always giveaway programs, but take a hard look at how much they increased since you were sworn in. We used to talk about millions. Then it was billions. When you leave in two years, the U.S.A. will be $20 trillion in debt — a number that we will never see erased in our lifetime.

We have still not heard encouraging opinions about the Israel war from Charles Schumer and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the two leading Jews in politics. Nor have we heard from the two leading Jews in Hollywood, Steven Spielberg and Barbra Streissand. I am StanG‌ershb‌ein@B‌ellso‌uth.net asking, “Why are they afraid to speak up?”
