Homicide detectives from Brooklyn North are investigating a fatal stabbing early Tuesday at the Steuben Playground in Clinton Hill, marking the second homicide at the park in four months.

Officers from the 88th Precinct arrived just after 8:45 a.m. on Nov. 12 to find a 21-year-old man bleeding heavily from a stab wound to the abdomen. Paramedics rushed the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to police sources close to the investigation, the suspect fled the park, located near Williamsburg Street West and Flushing Avenue, in an unknown direction. By mid-morning, crime scene detectives were processing the scene and searching for answers.

In August, a Department of Parks & Recreation employee was arrested for allegedly killing a 30-year-old man on July 21 at Steuben Playground — one of two violent incidents that left three men dead on the same night within just a few blocks.
