The Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) has extended its storage rescue efforts for customers of All City Storage, DCA licensee, 253 Bond Street in Brooklyn, August 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Customers of All City Storage must call 311 as soon as possible to schedule a time to remove their belongings from the evicted storage facility. To date, the DCA has helped 20 consumers recover their personal belongings. However, more than 40 customers have not claimed their storage contents, which are in danger of being discarded or auctioned off.
Customers will need to present a valid ID to retrieve their belongings and must be prepared to move their own items from the warehouse using a licensed and insured mover. DCA staff will be on hand to help and will not seek to collect outstanding fees from consumers on behalf of the evicted storage company.
