A bandit broke into the Williamsburg office of hipster magazine company Vice sometime during the evening of July 14, and made off with 11 laptops worth over $16,000, according to a report.

The thief entered the building at S. Second Street and Kent Avenue through a second-story window that was left open overnight, police said.

Staffers realized they had been ripped off the next morning when they discovered the MacBooks had vanished and some of the office’s furniture had been disturbed, cops said.

Vice is not the only trendy business in the area a looter has hit-up for laptops. In September last year, a burglar broke into the offices of hipster crowdfunding company Kickstarter and absconded with three Apple laptops and an iPhone, according to a report at the time.

You see what all of the popularity of certain BK neighborhoods is doing. Its attracting thieves at an alarming rate. Sure, nyc has always had thieves & always will but you transients that are all geeked up about living here really have no idea that you're exacerbating it.

you see what white transplants moving into liberal, open-minded tolerant BK neighborhoods is doing. It is so there fault that crime is skyrocketing, not the actual criminals who commit the crimes. it's the the NY way to worship criminal thug life. afterall, the criminals are really just victims of social injustice and have every right to bring these oppressive privileged white hipster transplants to justice. remember all are welcome to anti-racist NYC, except white working professionals.
