Students pound the pavement for Saint Anselm school

Forget squeezing the Department of Education for greenbacks, industrious students at St. Anselm’s School took matters into their own hands when they needed money for a program – they walked for it.

Youngsters and staff members departed from the school, 83rd Street and 4th Avenue, and trekked down the block to the playing field at Shore Road, where they rallied before retracing their steps.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the school’s technology and computer program.
