Taco trashed
An unhinged patron smashed a plate glass window at Yummy Taco on Flatbush Avenue on Nov. 6, injuring an employee taking a lunch break.
The 15-year-old broke the window in a fit of rage at 4:15 pm. Shards of glass showered over the 56-year-old employee, leaving him with cuts to his cheek and arm, said police, who charged the teen with assault.
Zip-theft
A thief zipped through a Zipcar depot on Underhill Avenue, taking a “wheels when you want them” gas card for his own personal use.
The hooligan swiped the card sometime between March 23 and Nov. 11, according to Zipcar employees operating out of Bobby’s Car Park between St. Marks Avenue and Prospect Place. More than $700 had been racked up on the card before it was reported stolen.
Verizon vixen
Thieves forced open a Verizon van parked on Atlantic Avenue on Nov. 4, taking a MacBook computer.
A set of schoolbooks belonging to a Verizon employee were also taken during the heist, which took place between 12:30 and 1:30 pm as the vehicle sat between Vanderbilt and Underhill avenues, police were told.
Phantom driver
A wayward motorist took police on a wild goose chase on Nov. 9 after she refused to give her real name during a car stop on Eastern Parkway.
Cops pulled the woman over between Underhill and Washington avenues at 11:45 am for driving without a seat belt. They asked for her driver’s license, but she didn’t produce one. Instead, she gave cops several fake names, even after she was told that doing so was a crime.
When the woman’s true name was revealed, she was taken into custody, charged with impersonation.
