Teen Challenge of BK

The oldest, largest, and most effective private agency of its kind, “Teen Challenge of Brooklyn,” celebrates 50 years as a free faith-based residential recovery center that trains and restores victims of substance abuse and other life controlling addictions.

From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., June 28, they will be celebrating with a free community festival on their lawn, 444 Clinton Avenue between Fulton Street and Greene Avenue in the Fort Greene/Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn.

The festival is free and open to the general public.

Activities include face painting for children, grand tours of the historic Clinton Hills neighborhood, and an outdoor, open air concert, including special guests: singer Osmond Collins (www.osmondcollins.com); the Nubian Gents Step Team www.myspace.com/nubiangents); Stephanie Staples (www.stephaniestaples.com); the New Jersey-based gospel band Delivered (www.myspace.com/delivered2002); female gospel artist, Terri Cann (www.myspace.com/terricann); singers David & Tehilla, and many others.
