Every year for the past 20 years, the New York Congregational Home for the Aged Foundation hosts a Spirit of Life Celebration, whose theme this year was “thank you,” to honor those who devote their time and energy to help enrich people’s lives and contribute to the success of the organization.
The Spirit of Life Award went to Esther Siegel, former dean of Long Island University’s School of Nursing, Psychiatric Clinical Specialist and Board Member. Siegel is an innovator in the field of psychiatric nursing.
The Harriet Righter Award was presented to John T. Camiolo, president, John James Benefits, LTD. Camiola has made the residents’ quality of life better by providing support for many programs that are so critical in carrying out New York Congregational Nursing Center’s mission of service.
The award recipients have an undying dedication and responsibility to their fellow man, utilizing their talents and resources so that they may make the community a better place to live.
