Dis-maid
A sneaky thief stole everything of value in a North Fourth Street apartment on July 21, and the victim blames the maid.
The tenant told cops that she went home, which is near Short Street, at about 5:30 pm to find that her precious iPad, laptop and expensive camera were gone — and there was no sign of forced entry. The only other person who has keys to her home is her maid.
Unwelcome guest
A crafty thug tricked a tenant into giving him access to her North Ninth Street apartment, and then burglarized the place on July 22.
The victim told police that the jerk pretended that he lost his keys to the apartment, which is between Bedford Avenue and Berry Street, at about 3 pm. She let him in, apparently mistaking him for another renter on the third floor. When she returned three hours later, her door was busted open and her laptop was gone.
Attempted it
A crook with a strong arm demanded a pedestrian’s wallet, but fled before the victim coughed up any money on July 22.
The victim told cops that he was on North Fifth Street near Havemeyer Street at about 2 pm when the perp and his buddy approached. The thug put his arm around his target and demanded cash, but the man refused. Apparently, the two got spooked and fled.

Perps stole at least four cars in Greenpoint last week:

• Swindlers stole a 1994 Honda Accord from its spot on Meeker Avenue near Frost Street on July 20. The victim said he noticed the car missing at 8 pm.
• Some scoundrel took a 2006 Infinity from Debevoise Avenue, where it was parked between Jackson Street and Maspeth Avenue on July 21. The victim said he returned to the spot at 3 pm to find the car missing.
• A jerk stole a 1995 Honda Civic from its spot on Franklin Street near Banker Street on July 22. The victim said he noticed the ancient car missing at about 4 pm.
