Feeling snippy
A tricky thief cut the wallet out of the pants pocket of a man who fell asleep on the subway on March 8, police said.
The victim boarded the F train at Fourth Avenue and Ninth street. He fell asleep and then woke up at about 3 am at York Street with his wallet missing and his pants cut. The wallet contained credit cards and identification.
Loss of Integra-ty
Someone stole a 1998 Acura Integra from Dean Street on March 7, cops said.
Police believe the theft, near Court Street, occurred at 4:30 pm. The victim said he is the only person who had copies of the keys.
Lights out
Officers cuffed a 54-year-old man for allegedly striking someone with a lamp in a Bergen Street apartment building on March 8.
The assault, which occurred in the hallway of the building near Bond Street, happened at 1 am. The victim’s suffered a split lip.
Not amicable
A man punched his ex-wife in the face and stole her cellphone on Boerum Place on March 7, police said.
Cops are still looking for the man they claim left the scene near Livingston Street at 2:57 pm. His ex-wife had a restraining order against him, police said.
For god’s sake
An unholy bandit snatched a bag containing a laptop and clothing from a church on Monroe Place on March 8, police said.
The victim left her bags on a bench in the church near Pierrepont Street and went home at 5:30 pm. When she returned at 3:08 am, the bag was missing.
Apple a day
Someone stole a laptop from a home on Willow Street on March 8, police said.
The victim, who said she never locks the back door and didn’t turn on her alarm system in her residence near Orange Street, said the burglary must have occurred after 1:45 pm and before 4 pm.
Crossed path
A 22-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly ripped a chain with a cross on it off of someone else’s neck on Hoyt Street on March 8.
The victim was near Schermerhorn Street at 2:33 pm when the perp grabbed the chain, causing the victim substantial pain, police said. The victim garnered the help of a police officer and chased the man to Livingston Street, where he was cuffed, officers reported.
Bargain shopping
Police arrested a 41-year-old woman who they say stole a cellphone, cash, and cards from another woman in a clothing store on Fulton Street on Feb. 25.
The victim was in the shop near Lawrence Street at 3:40 pm when the suspect swiped her iPhone, $80, several credit cards, an insurance card, and an ID card, cops said.
Tired out
Someone stole tires from a car parked on Pacific Street sometime overnight on March 5, police said.
The victim left the vehicle near Nevins Street at 7:30 pm, and found it missing at 7:20 am the next day.
F that
A quick crook snatched an iPhone from the hands of a woman on a Coney Island-bound F train stopped at the Jay Street–MetroTech station on March 5, police said.
The thief plucked the cellphone from the victim’s hands at around 9:50 pm and fled.
Care about the young volks
Someone drove off with a black 2011 Volkswagen Sedan left on Pacific Street on March 2, police said.
The victim parked the car near Bond Street at 11 pm, and found it missing at 7 am the next day.
