Double time
A jerk snatched some goodies from two apartments on Third Street on March 20.
The victims told cops someone entered the building near Fifth Avenue through a bedroom window between 7 am and 10 pm. The crook then stole $3,800 worth of belongings — including a $2,000 Mac laptop and a Kenneth Cole coat — from one apartment. He also swiped $500 in foreign money from the other.
Crime bites
A crook stole hundreds of dollars worth of teeth-bleaching kits from a pharmacy on Ninth Street on March 23.
A worker at CVS Pharmacy near Sixth Avenue told cops a 5-foot-9 man walked into the shop at 9:15 pm, grabbed more than $1,000 worth of Crest Whitening Strips from a glass case — and then stuffed them into a blue backpack and ran away.
Wave bummer
A thief stole a jet ski from a parking lot on Douglass Street between June 18 and March 21.
The 26-year-old victim told cops he locked his red 2008 Kawasaki jet ski inside a gated parking lot near Third Avenue, then left for several months. He came back and found his $8,500 wave runner gone — with no sign of broken locks.
Bike bandit
A thief swiped a sweet bike from an apartment on President Street between March 18 and 25.
The 62-year-old victim told cops she left her black Cannondale bike in the basement of her home near Sixth Avenue at 1 pm on March 18. She checked on it a week later and found the $1,000 ride, and a pair of fancy black shoes, gone.
Diner downer
A perp stole thousands of bucks from a diner on Seventh Avenue on March 21.
A nightwatchman at Purity Diner near Seventh Street told cops that the thief removed a lock and snuck through a side door at around 5 am, snatched $2,500 of cash, and ran away.
Bad walk
A scoundrel swiped a cellphone from a woman on President Street on March 20.
The 44-year-old victim told cops she was checking her voicemail near Fifth Avenue at around 8:30 pm, when the perp ran up from behind, grabbed her $500 iPhone — then ran north.
