Disrespecting his elders
Some snake stole jewelry off an elderly man sitting on his Brighton First Place porch on July 1, according to a police report.
The victim said he was relaxing on his porch at his home between Brighton Beach Avenue and Brightwater Court around 1:45 pm when the good-for-nothing came up and grabbed a ring right off his ring finger.
The crook fled towards Brighton Beach Avenue with the ring in hand, police said.
Pusher man
A nogoodnik robbed a woman on Bowery Street on June 27, according to a police report.
She told police she was near Jones Walk around 5:25 pm when the guy came up and pushed her to the ground, then grabbed her bag. Her bag had her cellphone and some clothes in it, police said.
Welcome back
A cat burglar broke into a man’s Cass Place house before he arrived home from vacation on June 24, according to police.
The guy arrived at his home between Brighton 11th Street and Corbin Place at 5:30 pm and saw that someone had broken down his front door. He discovered the lout had taken $900 and clothes, law enforcement officials said.
Ransacker
A would-be looter broke into a Banner Avenue day care facility on June 28, but didn’t steal anything, police said.
The prowler forced his way into the center between Brighton Eighth Street and Guider Avenue through a rear window around 2:35 am, security footage showed. He ransacked an office, but did not take anything, according to police.
Beach bummer
A sandy scoundrel stole a guy’s stuff he left on the beach near W. Fifth Street on July 2 while he took a swim, according to police.
The victim told police he left his bag with $40, his cellphone, and his wallet on the beach near the Boardwalk around 5:30 pm to take a dip. When he got back, it was nowhere to be found. Police did not say if the thief nabbed his towel, too.
