Thieves rub parlor workers the wrong way

62nd Precinct

Bensonhurst

Rubbed out

Two very relaxed thieves rubbed employees at an 18th Avenue massage parlor the wrong way on Aug. 17.

After getting de-stressed inside the shop, which is between 84th Street and New Utrecht Avenue, at 11:35 pm, the duo pulled guns, taking $3,000 from everyone inside, cops were told.

Boody booty

Thieves crept into David J. Boody Junior High School and removed 16 laptop computers, even though a video camera was positioned right outside the classroom where they were kept!

Despite their crackerjack security, no one learned that the computers were missing from the Avenue S school, which is between W. 4th and W. 5th streets, until Aug. 23. They were last seen on July 1, school administrators told police.

There was no word if the video camera recorded the theft by late Tuesday.

Calls to the Department of Education for comment were not returned.

Blade bums

Two thugs tried to knock over an Avenue U store at knife point on Aug. 21, but were arrested moments after they forced their way inside.

A worker at the store, which is between Van Sicklen and Lake streets, said one of the suspects entered demanding the money from the register, but the employee shooed him away.

Angered, the would-be thief said he was going to come back with a friend and the worker “was going to die.”

He and his friend broke the front door as they made their way inside at 4:20 am and pulled knives — right as a police officer was passing by in a patrol car, officials said.

Cabbie crooks

Livery cab drivers had targets painted on their backs last week. Here’s what happened:

• When a cabbie stopped at Kings Highway and W. 8th Street on Aug. 20 to let two people out at 2:30 am, one of passengers reached over from the back of the seat and put the cabbie in a choke hold. The two then threatened to stab him with an ice pick as they robbed him of $60 and his car keys.

The thieves ran off, but one of them was apprehended a short time later and charged with robbery, police said.

• Then a fiendish fare robbed a livery cab driver of $200 and a phone card after requesting to be dropped off at the exact same spot!

The cabbie picked his passenger up in Borough Park at around 4:30 am. The man said he wanted to go to the corner of Kings Highway W. 8th Street — but suddenly changed his mind and asked the victim to take him to W. 7th Street and Highlawn Avenue.

Once they arrived, the man pulled a knife, demanding his cash and car keys, which he dropped on the ground as he made his escape.

Skating away

A thug attacked another man with a skate during a clash at the corner of New Utrecht Avenue and 66th Street on Aug. 21, but ended up cowering under a nearby car when police were called to the scene.

The victim was nearing the corner at 3:15 am when the suspect jumped him, hitting him in the head with the ice-cutting footwear.

Witnesses called police, who found the 19-year-old assailant hiding under a parked car.

Surrounded and robbed

Four thugs jumped a man on Aug. 20 as he made his way past the corner of 20th Avenue and 82nd Street.

The 23-year-old victim said he was nearing the corner at 1 am when the thieves grabbed him, warning that if he looked back, they would kill him.

They then ran off after snatching the man’s cash and wallet.

Rim raid

A crew of thieves took the tires and rims off a 2010 Honda Accord on Aug. 18 as the vehicle sat near the corner of 19th Avenue and 62nd Street.

The victim said she parked her new car at the spot at 9 pm. She returned the next day, only to find it on blocks.
