Third time’s an alarm: Three baddies rob three separate North Brooklyn banks

Cops are on the hunt for three separate thieves who stole cash from three different North Brooklyn banks since the start of the new year.

On Monday, a sneak walked into a Roosevelt Savings Bank in Bedford-Stuyvesant and demanded some bills from the teller, according to officials, who said the clerk complied and handed the nogoodnik $4,500.

The punk fled the Broadway bank around 4:20 pm, and was last spotted on Lewis Avenue between Greene and Lexington avenues wearing dark sunglasses, a black peacoat, and a black baseball cap with “Brooklyn” written in white on the front, cops said.

The next day, another good-for-nothing strolled into a Dime Bank on Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint and slipped the teller a note around 1:10 pm demanding some green, police said.

The clerk acquiesced and passed the ne’er-do-well an unknown amount of cash, and then the jerk ran out towards Calyer Street, according to authorities, who said he was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, gray sweatshirt, black knit hat, and black-and-white scarf.

And on Jan. 2, a third worm committed a similar stickup when he waltzed into the Ponce DeLeon Federal Bank on Smith Street in Boerum Hill at 10:50 am and slid a teller a note that said “$5,000 quickly,” police said.

The victim cooperated — but not entirely — and handed $1,540 to the goon wearing an orange bandana around part of his face, who then fled, cops said.

Authorities couldn’t say whether the same note-passing baddie terrorized the Greenpoint and Boerum Hill banks, because the technique is common in holdups.

“That MO is something we have seen many, many times in the past,” said a police department spokesman. “It’s a tactic that is used a lot.”
