This Cyclone win was a laugher

Cyclones 8

Valley Cats 0

Saturday, July 17 at Tri-City

Starter A.J. Pinera was virtually unhittable, giving up just two hits in six innings of work, his best performance of the year.

The Cyclone bats did the rest, knocking out 15 hits, including homers by J.B. Brown and Jeff Flagg.

The top seven hitters in the mighty Cyclone lineup went 14-for-31 on the night.

Leading 2–0, the Cyclones broke it open in the fifth with three runs after consecutive singles by Luis Nieves, Darrell Ceciliani and Cory Vaughn. A couple of errors and a wild pitch did the rest of the damage.

The next Cyclones home game is Tuesday, July 20 at MCU Park [1904 Surf Ave. at W. 19th Street in Coney Island, (718) 449-8497]. For info, visit www.brooklyncyclones.com.
