This was one brutal mugging

Lo-jacked

A thug brutalized a fellow Brooklynite by pulling him out of his car on Aug. 16 — but he didn’t get far before cops inflicted their own form of pain.

Police said that the villain manhandled the 53-year-old victim from the vehicle, which was stopped at the corner of N. Fifth Street and Wythe Avenue at 5:20 am and beat him, yelling “Give me your money!”

The thug took the cash and fled towards N. Sixth Street before being apprehended.

Break-ins!

Here’s an amazing string of coincidences: Two burglaries. Two victims. Both aged 68. One day. One Greenpoint building.

Yes, two units in the same N. Eighth Street building, between Havemeyer and Roebling streets, were burglarized on Aug. 14.

In the first incident, a 68-year-old woman’s apartment was burglarized sometime between 12:30 pmand 3 pm, when she returned to find a laptop missing.

Two hours later, a 68-year-old man returned to his unit to discover that his pearl necklace, baseball cards, and ring were missing.

Buff burglar

A gym rat took a Greenpoint man’s belongings out of a N. Ninth Street workout place on Aug. 12.

The 35-year-old victim told cops that he’d left his belongings in a secured locker at Maxim Health & Fitness, which is between Driggs and Bedford Avenues, at 1 pm. When he finished his workout, however, he found his bag — which contained his sunglasses, driver’s license, credit cards, wallet, and cellphone — gone from the locker. Before he could cancel his credit cards, they’d already been used four times.
