This year’s ‘Movies with a View’ puts an emphasis on the view

What a view: Woody Allen’s “Manhattan” will kick off Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Movies with a View on July 7.

The schedule for this summer’s “Movies with a View” series at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 1 is up — and this year is focusing on the “view” part of the name. Most of the films in the series have a Manhattan focus — which only makes sense given the city views from the park at the foot of Old Fulton Street.

Here’s the complete New York-centric lineup (all films are after dusk on Thursdays):

July 7: “Manhattan”

July 14: “Ghostbusters”

July 21: “Sweet Smell of Success”

July 28: “Basquiat”

Aug. 4: “An American Tail”

Aug. 11: “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”

Aug. 18: “Crooklyn”

Aug. 25: “Rosemary’s Baby”

Sept. 1: Public vote: Choose your own favorite New York story! Check brooklynbridgepark.org for details.

Movies with a View at Pier 1 [Old Fulton Street at Furman Street in DUMBO, (718) 802- 0603]. Seating starts at 6 pm, with the movie beginning after sunset. For info, visit brooklynbridgepark.org.
