Paramedics rushed three victims to local hospitals after flames raged through the top floors of a four-story Crown Heights building on Friday.
More than 100 of New York’s Bravest rushed to quench the Herkimer Street inferno between Kingston Avenue and St. Andrews Place just after sunset at 8:40 pm, battling it for an hour before giving the all-clear at 9:40 pm.
Two other victims of the blaze refused medical attention, firefighters said.
The property is residential, according to city records, which show that Department of Buildings officials slapped a vacate order on the premises after the incident, which will be lifted following a stability inspection by the Fire Department.
The inferno’s cause is under investigation, according to a Fire Department spokeswoman.
