A driver in a 2014 Audi traveling on Avenue R plowed into a 70-year-old driver of a 2016 Hyundai on E. 36th Street, causing it to flip over and sending him to the hospital on Oct. 10, police said.

The elderly victim is in stable condition, according to authorities, but it was a scary site to see as emergency responders extracted him from the overturned four-wheeler, said a witness.

“They were pulling a guy out of the car that was on its side, they put him on a backboard and put him in an ambulance,” said Marine Parker Kenny Rogers. “The only thing I saw was the driver they pulled out, he was banged up bad, and someone said the airbags hit his face.”

The motorist in the Audi was heading towards Flatbush Avenue when he struck the driver in the Hyundai, who was heading towards Fillmore Avenue at about 11 am, officials said. Two parked cars were also hit, according to authorities. Emergency responders transported the 70-year-old victim to a local hospital in stable condition, police said.

And oddly enough, all within about a four-minute walk of each other, two other accidents occurred that same afternoon, according to Rogers and other witnesses.

“I said ‘gosh,’ ” said Rogers. “It was some morning, it was crazy.”

About four hours after the first incident on Avenue R and E. 36th Street, a 48-year-old driver in a 2008 Chrysler on Gerritsen Avenue collided with a 53-year-old driving a 2007 Toyota, who had made a left turn on Avenue S, police said.

And just about two hours after that, a 63-year-old driver in a 2016 Nissan was heading along Fillmore Avenue when he plowed into a parked 2009 Ford near Ryder Street. The motorist in the Nissan told police he swerved to avoid another car. There were no injuries reported in either of the later afternoon accidents, police said.
