A ruthless crook assaulted a man and took his cellphone on an A train near Fulton Street on Feb. 25.

The 26-year-old victim told cops the train was pulling into the Clinton–Washington station at 1:30 am when a man punched him, threw him to the ground, and took his new iPhone before fleeing.

Beat reporting

Police arrested two people who they say were part of a treacherous trio that walloped a man on S. Portland Avenue on Feb. 27.

The 18-year-old victim told cops he was at S. Elliott Place at 4 pm when three men punched, kicked, and struck him with a cane.

Apple picking

A man stole a woman’s cellphone on St. James Place on Feb. 26.

The 24-year-old victim told cops she was at Clifton Place at 2 pm, when the crook approached her from behind, took her new iPhone from her hand, and fled.

Sucker-punch

A thug knocked a man out and stole his phone on Waverly Avenue on Feb. 24.

The 32-year-old victim told cops he was between Fulton Street and Atlantic Avenue at 4 am when the man approached him from behind and struck him on the head, knocking him unconscious. The perp then took the victim’s cellphone, cops said.

Man with a camera

A crook broke into a school office on St. James Place sometime between Feb. 21 and 22 and took off with a camera and some lenses.

A representative from the college told cops that he left the building between Clifton Place and Lafayette Avenue at 2 pm, returning at the same time the next day to find the items gone.

A MacBook pro

A thief pilfered two laptops from a school on Willoughby Avenue between Feb. 15 and 22.

Representatives from an art school told cops that the crooks stole two MacBooks from a building between Hall Street and Emerson Place sometime between 5 pm on Feb. 15 and 11:30 am on Feb. 22.

School thief

Someone stole a bag from a high school student on Park Avenue on Feb. 21.

The 17-year-old victim told cops that while at basketball practice between N. Portland Avenue and N. Oxford Street at 3:30 pm he placed his bag down. When he went to retrieve it at 6 pm, it was gone.

Happy steal

A bandit grabbed a purse at a restaurant on Flatbush Avenue on March 2.

The 56-year-old victim told cops she was at a fast-food eatery at Fulton Street at 6:30 pm when someone took her purse from the chair next to her.

Hard to stomach

A sneaky crook swiped a phone from a sleeping woman at a hospital on Feb. 26 on DeKalb Avenue.

The 30-year-old victim told cops she fell asleep with her new iPhone on her stomach at the medical center at St. Felix Street at 7:15 pm, and when she woke up 45 minutes later, it was gone.

Pro tools

An intruder took some electronics from a Clermont Avenue apartment on Feb. 25.

The 28-year-old victim told cops he left his place between Park and Myrtle avenues at 8:50 am, returning at 9 pm to find his MacBook and iPod gone.

Brace yourself

A thief stole a bracelet from a Vanderbilt Avenue apartment sometime between Jan. 22 and Feb. 22.

The 45-year-old victim told cops she left her place between Park and Myrtle avenues with the door unlocked on Jan. 22 at 2:30 pm, returning one month later at 4:30 pm to find bracelets gone from her jewelry collection.

Cash cowed

A greedy goon helped himself to a wad of cash from an apartment on Grand Avenue sometime between March 2 and 3.

The 33-year-old victim told cops she left her place between Gates and Putnam avenues at 2 pm, returning at 6:07 pm the next day to find $1,000 cash gone from her bedroom.
