Greenpoint–Northside

Idol threats

A robber punched a pedestrian in his face and threatened to kill him for his wallet on McGuinness Boulevard on Nov. 9.

The victim told police that he was walking near Box Street at 10:25 pm when the thief got in his face.

“Give me your wallet,” said the robber before punching the man in the right side of the face. The robber then showed the victim a knife as he was writhing on the ground.

“Give me your s— or I will f—— kill you,” said the thief. The victim handed over his wallet, Samsung tablet, credit cards, and cash and the robber fled.

B-boys

Cops cuffed two men who they say assaulted a guy who was playing basketball in McCarren Park on Nov. 10 — and stole his jacket and phone.

The victim told police that he was shooting hoops in the park at noon when two guys ran up to him and started punching him in the head and face. The victim ran away, and his friend grabbed his jacket and held onto it for him.

Cops say one of the assailants ran back and grabbed the jacket out of his friend’s hands. Police arrested the two men near the scene.

You get nothing

A man was arrested for robbing and blackmailing his co-worker on Greenpoint Avenue on Nov. 11.

The victim told police that his 40-year-old co-worker demanded $500 from him. When the victim would not hand over the cash, the suspect stole the victim’s car keys and held them as collateral.

The victim handed over the cash between Newel and Jewel streets at 11 am on Nov. 11, and then told police, who arrested the alleged bully and charged him with robbery.

Workplace violence

Police arrested a woman who they say attacked her co-worker on N. Third Street on Nov. 8 — smashing a glass over his head.

The victim told police that the woman started screaming at him while they were at work at a factory between Kent and Wythe avenues at 1:35 am. She then smashed him in the head with a glass, said police.

Emergency medical services took the man to the hospital and the woman was arrested and charged with assault.

Just a jealous guy

A jealous boyfriend smashed a pint glass into a Union Avenue bar-goer’s head on Nov. 10 — severing a major artery.

The victim told police that he was talking to a woman inside watering hole at the corner of Meeker Avenue at 2 am when the woman’s jealous boyfriend came up behind them. At first, the boyfriend tried to pour his drink over his girlfriend’s head. When the woman pushed him away, he smashed the glass into the man’s head, cutting the artery on the left side of his ear.

The victim tried to defend himself and punched the crazed boyfriend in the face. He then left the bar and took a taxi to the hospital. The man said he does not know the name of the thug who attacked him.
