Thugs go crazy in Orient Avenue apartment

90th Precinct

Southside–Bushwick

Orient express

Some thugs wrecked an apartment on Orient Avenue, stealing $2,950 worth of electronics and jewelry on Nov. 16.

The victim had returned to her apartment near Metropolitan Avenue at 5:15 pm to find kitchen knives sticking out of her counters, her furniture smashed and spray paint covering the walls.

Upon further investigation, she discovered that two laptops, an iPod, a watch and $700 were also missing.

Southside stab

A man was stabbed in his S. Third Street apartment by his uncle on Nov. 19.

The victim told cops that he was inside the apartment between Berry Street and Bedford Avenue at around 3:35 pm when he started arguing with his relative. At some point, the fight got violent, when the uncle brandished a knife and stabbed his nephew in his left side.

He was taken to Woodhull Hospital, where he was in stable condition.

Dog dazed

Cops nabbed a man who they said sneaked into a S. Second Street apartment while the tenant was walking his dog on Nov. 19.

The victim said that he left the unit, which is between Marcy Avenue and Havemeyer Street, at around 6 pm to give his pooch some relief. That’s when the would-be burglar entered the home, where the victim found him brandishing a knife that he’d taken from a drawer.

Fortunately, the perp fled without violence, and police later captured a suspect.

Lobby villain

A gun-wielding crook robbed a woman of her purse in the lobby of her Union Avenue apartment building on Nov. 20.

The woman told cops that she was between Ainslie and Powers streets at 6:30 pm when the thief followed her through the door and brandished the firearm.

“Give me your bag,” he barked, before making off with her purse, which contained credit cards and $20.
