Thugs raid Bergen Beach home

Home invasion on U

A crew of thieves raided a Bergen Beach home on Feb. 15, taking an undisclosed amount of property.

The victims, two women, were inside their Avenue U home, which is near E. 69th Street, when the thieves forced their way inside during the daytime raid, holding them at bay as they rifled through their things.

Flatlands stabber nabbed

A 22-year-old was arrested this week for stabbing someone on E. 48th Street last November.

Police said that the suspect repeatedly jammed a knife into his victim’s chest and body during the 11:30 am attack, which happened between Kings Highway and Avenue I, and landed the victim in the hospital for seven days.

Cell grabbers celled

A 19-year-old was arrested on Feb. 9 for a Jan. 24 robbery on Avenue K.

The victim was near E. 51st Street at 7:01 pm when the suspects attacked him, knocking his cellphone to the ground.

The 19-year-old thief scooped up the phone and ran off, only to be charged with assault and petit larceny last week.

Not so clean getaway

A 54-year-old was arrested on Feb. 21 after he was caught trying to smuggle an assortment of body wash and lotions from a kings Highway CVS Pharmacy.

Workers at the store, which is near E. 49th Street, grabbed the would-be thief as he was trying to leave the store at 11:25 am.

Bad toast

A 20-year-old was arrested on Feb. 10 — a month after he beaned another man in the head with a glass during an altercation in Flatlands.

The thug was inside an apartment on E. 41st Street near Kings Highway at 1 pm on Jan. 10 when he chucked the glass at his victim, leaving him with a cut lip and a deep head laceration that needed three stitches to close.

Bagged for boozin’

A 56-year-old was arrested on drunk driving charges on Feb. 20 after he was caught weaving across the Belt Parkway.

Cops pulled over the motorist in his 2010 Honda over just as he was approaching the Flatbush Avenue exit a 1:40 am, placing the apparently drunk motorist in custody.

Masked miscreants

Two masked vandals attacked a Gerritsen Avenue home on Feb. 18 — lobbing rocks at a woman’s glass door.

The woman, who lives between Avenues S and T, said that three panes of glass were shattered during the 3 am assault.

Gerritsen graffiti

Graffiti vandals ran wild on the streets of Gerritsen Beach this week. Here’s what happened:

• A vandal spray-painted some indecipherable words on Bevy Court near Everett Avenue on Feb. 17. The graffiti goon struck sometime after 9 pm.

• A goon scrawled his tag across a fence on Celest Court on Feb. 17. The thief marked up the fence, which is between Devon and Everett avenues, with black spray-paint sometime after 9 pm.

Bicyclist shot

A gunman opened fire on a bicyclist riding along E. 54th Street on Feb. 13, striking him in the arm.

The victim said he was zipping toward Avenue I at 6:42 pm when a blue sedan approached. An unidentified man exited the car and opened fire at the pedaler, letting go nine shots, before speeding away.

Cut up

A thief armed with a boxcutter held up a woman on Flatbush Avenue on Feb. 10, leaving the woman with a cut index finger.

The thief ran off with the woman’s cellphone following the violent 7:30 pm exchange near Utica Avenue.
