Three punks mugged a couple on Halloween night on Degraw Street.
One member of the criminal trio subdued the 29-year-old man by putting him in a headlock at 1 am, while his companions knocked a 27-year-old woman to ground near the corner of Hoyt Street. One mugger threatened the pair by saying, “I have a gun and we will kill you.”
The brigands stole a cellphone and $35 cash.
Teen mob scene
Police arrested a bully from a pack of teens that beat up a 15-year-old on the corner of Kane and Clinton streets on Halloween.
The 17-year-old suspect repeatedly welted the 15-year-old, who was with friends at 5:35 pm, and stole his iPod and a wallet containing $10.
Jewel thief
A burglar stole a cache of jewelry from a Clinton Street home on Oct. 31.
The crook purloined $100 cash, a sapphire and diamond ring, four necklaces and a bracelet from a 43-year-old woman’s home between Kane and Degraw streets. She told police she was not home from 10:30 am to 1 pm.
Pimped out
A burglar stole enough outerwear and footgear from Coffey Street home on Halloween to wear a different stylish outfit every day for more than a week, plus a wide variety of gadgets.
The 37-year-old victim told police he lost two mink coats and four pairs of sneakers as well as a camcorder, computer, surge protector and Blackberry from the house between Van Brunt and Columbia streets. The resident said he was not home from 7 am to 7 pm
Window pains
A hooligan ransacked a well-stocked Congress Street on Oct. 21 by climbing through a kitchen window.
The 37-year-old victim told police he returned home from work to a find his apartment between Clinton and Court streets turned upside down. The thief nicked three laptops, two cameras, two watches, three camera lenses, and a shoulder bag.
