94th Precinct

Greenpoint–Northside

Bad reception

A trio of punks jumped a guy and stole his iPhone as he was walking home on Skillman Avenue on Jan. 27, cops said.

The 31-year-old victim told police that he was at the corner of Humboldt Street at 9:30 pm when a galoot punched him in the back of the head, splitting open his right ear. The poor fellow dropped his phone and the robbers grabbed it before booking it, police stated.

There are no cameras at the scene and the phone’s tracking was disabled, according to authorities.

Canceled check

Someone stole a man’s laptop and BlackBerry after he left them at a coat check at a Wythe Avenue nightclub on Jan. 19, cops said.

The 32-year-old victim reported he dropped off the devices along with his jacket when he got to the club between N. 11th and N. 12th streets at 11 pm on Jan. 19. When he went back to the coat check at 4 am on Jan. 20, the clerk told him that his belongings were missing, police stated.

Seven-wheeler

A thief stole the tires and rims off of two cars on Feb. 1, cops said.

A 26-year-old woman told police that she parked her car on Skillman Avenue between Woodpoint Road and Kingsland Avenue at 5:30 pm. When she came back at 11:34 am on Feb. 2, she found that someone had stolen three of the tires and rims off of her 2010 Nissan Maxima, she said.

At 7:45 am on the same day, a 65-year-old man walked to his car parked on Meeker Avenue between N. Henry and Monitor streets to find the rims and tires missing off of his red four-door Nissan, cops said.

Not so close

A suave stranger stole a woman’s wallet as she was riding the L train at the Lorimer Street station on Jan. 30, cops said.

The 36-year-old victim told cops she transferred from a Brooklyn-bound G train to a Manhattan-bound L train at the station near Metropolitan Avenue at 8:50 am. The train was crowded and she threw her shoulder bag over her right shoulder, she said.

A stranger sidled up next to her and smiled, but the woman did not think anything about it until the man got off at the Bedford Avenue station and she noticed that her bag was open and the wallet was missing from her purse, police reported.
