Truce in ugly ‘Stripes’ feud – Car service operator smooths over clash with CB18, officials

If small business owner Richard Tetelman has learned anything from Community Board 18, it is this: You can catch more bees with honey than vinegar.

At the board’s March meeting, Tetelman, the owner of Stripes Car & Limo, 4219 Avenue P, had to be escorted out of the meeting three times by a police officer after getting confrontational with City Councilmember Lew Fidler, as well as with the board’s district manager Dorothy Turano and chair Saul Needle.
