Turning the tables: These Brooklyn record stores are still going strong

Permanent Records is closing, but that doesn’t mean Brooklyn’s music-on-vinyl industry is going the way of the dodo.

In fact, there are still plenty of places to pick up the turntable toppers in Greenpoint, Williamsburg, and a handful of other Brooklyn hot-spots.

Here’s a breakdown of where you can still get your needle’s fix:

Greenpoint

(A) Academy Records Annex: 85 Oak St. between Franklin and West streets

(B) Co-op 87 Records: 87 Guernsey St. between Norman and Nassau avenues

(C) Captured Tracks: 195 Calyer St. between Manhattan Avenue and Leonard Street

(E) Record Grouch: 986 Manhattan Ave. between Huron and India streets

(F) The Thing: 1001 Manhattan Ave. between Huron and Green streets

Williamsburg

(D) Earwax: 167 N. Ninth St. between Bedford and Driggs avenues
