What do you get if you cross Captain B.J. Hunnicutt with a singing spy?
An evening of politics, performance, food and fellowship at Madiba Restaurant, 195 DeKalb Avenue, where MASH actor and activist Mike Farrell shared the spotlight with George Shrub, “the world’s only known singing CIA agent,” during a benefit coordinated by Brooklyn For Peace.
Farrell, author of “Just Call Me Mike,” and Shrub – also known as Dave Lippmanaka – engaged a rapt audience with straight talk and lilting songs while feasting on South African cuisine.
The guest appearances were part of the peace group’s springtime fundraiser.
