Twit Mel tweets for terrorist

Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito’s crush on unrepentant Puerto Rican terrorist Oscar Lopez-Rivera is getting worse by the torrid tweet.

Gotham’s second most powerful oaf-icial celebrated her birthday on April Fool’s Day with three Twitter messages in Spanish that squealed her undying support for the remorseless cucaracha serving 70 years for plotting to overthrow the U.S. government with the Armed Forces of National Liberation, whose thugs were convicted in 1981 of seditious conspiracy, bomb making, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, and weapons possession.

The guerilla group committed 119 acts of terrorism — 66 of them in New York City — in its blood-soaked thrust for an independent island nation, making it a gang of thugs responsible for the largest number of attacks in the U.S. between 1970 and 2011, claims the State Department.

Yet Missy is beside herself dreaming about Lopez-Rivera’s release. It would be “the best birthday gift,” “the best gift,” and “what I want most for my birthday” she gushed like a Charles Manson groupie, instead of an official elected in good faith and armed with a $69-billion, taxpayer-funded budget.

Mark-Viverito has never stopped craving for Lopez-Rivera’s release. She previously rallied her council colleagues to push for parole for the murderous yellow-belly, who fancied himself a “valiant freedom fighter,” instead of a terrorist who operated without conscience.

One pride and joy of his notorious group is the heinous lunchtime bombing of historic Fraunces Tavern on Jan. 24, 1975 that killed four Americans: Frank Connor, 33; Harold H. Sherburne, 66; Alejandro Berger, 28; and James Gezork, 32.

Connor’s son Joseph — a young schoolboy when his dad was murdered — faced Lopez-Rivera across the table at the terrorist’s 2011 parole hearing to make sure his release was denied.

He says Mark-Viverito is shady because she knows full well that Lopez waged an unprecedented, murderous bombing campaign against the very city that elected her.

“She claims to advocate for New Yorkers, while she ignores the life — and exploits the death — of New Yorkers like my father in favor of his killers,” Joseph Connor told this column.

“What kind of low-life politician sides with terrorists over the very citizenry she is sworn to defend?”

His father’s senseless murder was his family’s “first 9-11,” says Connor, whose cousin Steve Schlag died in the World Trade Center terror attacks that occurred almost two years to the day that President Bill Clinton pardoned the F.A.L.N, terrorists. Lopez-Rivera was so committed to killing Americans that he refused the clemency, instead telling the Seattle Times, “I have no regrets for what I’ve done.

Melissa Mark-Viverito’s unseemly advocacy for a barbarous revolutionary with American blood on his hands makes her a city official of the worst kind, and a shameless terror hussy who needs to be impeached.
