Two lawbreakers tried to shoot a guy after getting into an argument with him on Clinton Street on July 3, police said.

The victim told police he got into a verbal dispute with one of the malefactors between Remsen and Montague streets at 7:30 pm, and the lout then socked him in the face and shouted to a pal in a black Chevy Impala, “Get this n—–.”

The second villain then fired two shots at the victim, but missed, according to authorities.

The first fiend fled on foot and the second took off in his car down Hamilton Avenue. Police recovered 9 mm shells at the scene, officials said.

Not where he left it

A cad swiped a guy’s motorcycle after he parked it on Rapelye Street sometime overnight on July 4, police said.

The victim told police he left his black and white Yamaha crotchrocket near Henry Street at 11 pm, but when he went to pick it up at 10 am on July 5, it was gone. The bike had a wheel lock on it, according to authorities.

Swiped from her purse

A punk snatched a teenage girl’s cellphone from her purse on Columbia Street on July 3, police said.

The 14-year-old victim told police she left her bag containing her iPhone 6-plus in the lobby of a building between Bush and Lorraine streets at 10 pm when she went to go play with her friend, and the jerk grabbed it.

Cut off

Police cuffed a 25-year-old suspect who they say had a metal knuckle knife in his car on Douglass Street on July 4.

Cops spotted the suspect driving a 2006 tan Chevy near Hoyt Street at 2:35 pm without proper registration, and when they stopped him, allegedly spotted the weapon in his lap, according to authorities. Police arrested the guy for criminal possession of a weapon.

Vanity plates

Police arrested a guy who they say was driving a car with forged license plate and fireworks in the back seat on Clinton Street on July 2.

Officers pulled over the 26-year-old guy near Hamilton Avenue at 7:25 pm because his tan 2006 Mercedes Benz sporting a cardboard license plate with a fake number, at which point they noticed the pyrotechnics, according to authorities.
