Two purse snatchings — that’s all

Bag men

At least two women’s purses were stolen in the same way last week — by a thief who moved quickly after the ladies left the bags unattended for just a few seconds:

• A thief snatched a wallet at the Barnes and Noble on Seventh Avenue on Jan. 31 after its 41-year-old owner left it on a table at around 10:20 am. The wallet contained various cards.

• A St. Johns Place woman told cops a thief swiped her bag after she put it on the sidewalk in front of a building on Seventh Avenue between President and Carroll street on Feb. 6. The woman said that the bag, which contained two cellphones, a camera and various cards, was unattended from 6:10 to 6:40 pm — max.

Macintoshed

A thief broke into a St. Marks Place apartment on Feb. 2 and stole a fancy computer and a variety of peripherals.

Cops say that the burglar entered the building, which is at Fifth Avenue, through his 26-year-old victim’s bedroom window to make his high-tech haul between 10 am and 8 pm.

Car talk

At least three cars were broken into last week (hey, it’s Park Slope). Here are the details:

• A thief busted into a Chevy Tahoe that had been parked on Plaza Street West on Jan. 30 and stole that SUV’s most-touted feature: the third row of seats in the back. The owner of the gas-guzzler discovered the theft when he returned to the car, near Union Street, on Feb. 2 at 6 pm.

• Cops say that a thief broke into a car that had been parked along Third Avenue on Feb. 1, getting $50 and various cards. The victim discovered the crime at around 3:35 pm, when she returned to the spot between Third and Sixth streets.

• A thief broke into a car while it was in the parking lot at the Staples store on Fourth Avenue at Third Street on Feb. 3. The owner told cops that she was away from the Toyota for just 10 minutes at around 7:30 pm, but when she returned, she discovered a broken window and her iPod, cellphone, $45 and various cards missing.
