Raising cane

Cops cuffed two men who stole a guy’s cane and tried to break into his apartment on N. Portland Avenue on Nov. 1. The victim told police he was arguing with the pair of suspects over $200 when one of them tried to kick down his door near Myrtle Avenue at about 1:17 am. The suspects broke the lock on his door as he tried to keep them out from inside the apartment, but eventually they broke through enough to grab his cane, officials said. But police met the pair as they ran out of the apartment and arrested them, according to authorities.

Smoking, then slashing

Police arrested a woman for slashing a man in the arm after trying to steal his phone on DeKalb Avenue on Nov. 5. The guy told police he and the suspect were smoking together near Fort Greene Place at about 4:20 pm when she asked to borrow his phone, but when he asked for it back, she refused and then knifed the guy on his left arm, according to authorities. Police had an open warrant for the suspect and found cocaine paraphernalia on her, officials said.

Quick thief

Some good-for-nothing stole a woman’s bag from an office cabinet inside a DeKalb Avenue hospital and put charges on her credit cards at a nearby store on Nov. 3, police said.

The woman told police she had put her bag in the cabinet at about 8 am and left for about five minutes, but when she came back it was gone, according to authorities. The punk walked off from the medical center near St. Felix Street with the woman’s Fossil bag, with her makeup bag and credit cards inside, officials said. And the lout then charged about $730 on her credit cards at a Century 21 department store, police said.

Party foul

Some nogoodnik swiped a woman’s bag from a party hall on Fulton Street on Oct. 13, and then used her credit card at a pharmacy a few days later, according to authorities.

The 84-year-old woman told police on Oct. 30 she had put her bag with five credit cards inside under a table inside the hall between Grand Avenue and St. James Place at about 8 pm and when she went to get it at 11:45 pm, it was gone. The baddie charged one of her cards at a Rite Aid on Nostrand Avenue between Avenues L and M on Oct. 17, officials said.

Street sneaks

Two ruffians grabbed a woman’s cellphone as she was walking on Clinton Avenue on Oct. 31, police said.

The woman told police she was walking home from the Lafayette Avenue subway station at about 10:30 am when the lowlife duo came up to her from behind and swiped her gold iPhone 8 along with its case and screen protector, worth more than $1,100, officials said.

Bad practice

A goon swipe a woman’s bag while she was getting treated in another room at a DeKalb Avenue medical center on Oct. 31, police said. The woman told police she went to the hospital near St. Felix Street at about 9 pm and set her bag down in one room, but while getting looked at in another area of the hospital, some malefactor swiped her bag with her transit employee’s card, identification card, e-script card, and cash inside, according to authorities.
