Verizon Wireless workers gathered outside the company’s 86th Street store in Bensonhurst on Sept. 10 to protest the possible termination of union leader Bianca Cunningham. A group of 65 Verizon Wireless employees in Brooklyn became the company’s first unionized retail workers. They claim the company is threatening Cunningham and other union activists with termination, and is refusing to offer raises or benefits to the unionized employees.
