A jogger discovered a dead woman in Owl’s Head Park near Colonial Road and Wakeman Place on Sept. 29.
Officers responded to a 911 call reporting an unconscious person in the park at 10 am and found a woman with apparent head trauma, a department spokesman said.
Policed identified the woman as 35-year-old Bay Ridgite Jennifer Cohen.
Her body was discovered fully clothed with a purse nearby that contained hypodermic needles but no drugs — and police have ruled the death a homicide, officials said.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death, police said.
