Fatal punch
A 26-year-old man was arrested on Jan. 2 for beating a Carlton Avenue man on New Year’s Eve, then leaving him to die.
Suspect Angel Diaz was arguing with 51-year-old Michael Ketter in his victim’s building between Fulton Street and Atlantic Avenue at 10:47 pm when he pushed and punched his opponent, causing the older man to suffer a heart attack.
Instead of calling for help, Diaz ran away, police said. Paramedics rushed Ketter to Brooklyn Hospital, where he died an hour later.
Diaz surrendered to investigators on Sunday, cops said.
