Vicious thug slams man with metal object

68th Precinct

Bay Ridge—Dyker Heights

Book bully

A vicious thug attacked a man with a metal object on Fourth Avenue on April 2, according to cops.

The victim told police that he was near 73rd Street at 2:20 am when four men approached him. One of the men, wearing a hooded-sweatshirt, whacked the victim in the gut with the object. He then pulled off the victim’s backpack, which contained one book, and fled with the posse down Fourth Avenue.

Cash out

A burglar slipped into an Owls Head Court apartment on April 5 — and slipped out with the tenant’s cash.

The victim told police that someone entered his home near 68th Street between 5 am and 4:45 pm and left with $980.

Money swipe

A thief made his way into a Third Avenue apartment on April 4 — and made off with cash.

The victim told police that he left his home between 71st and 72nd streets at noon, and returned only an hour later to find himself $900 poorer. Police said there was no sign of forced entry.

Brooklyn welcome

A crook broke into a van parked on 72nd Street on April 7 — making off with $700 in electronics and the driver’s credit cards.

The victim, who was visiting from Maryland, told police that he parked his Nissan Quest between Fourth Avenue and Benet Court at 3 pm. When he returned at 4 pm, the rear passenger-side window was shattered, and his laptop, navigation system, and cards were gone. Cops said the thief tried to use the cards a short time later but was denied.

Game over

A thief robbed a Ridge Boulevard apartment on April 5 — taking the couple’s $3,000 TV, among other things.

The victims told police that they left their home near Bay Ridge Avenue at 1 pm. When they returned later that night at 9, their flat-screen TV, a $2,000 mink coat, $1,350 Gucci sunglasses, a wedding ring, and the controller for their Wii system, were gone.

A neighbor reported seeing the front door wide open at 2 pm. The couple told police the door was locked when they left, but not the bedroom window.
