Two bad
A group of teens beat up a straphanger near Flatbush Avenue on March 18.
The 32-year-old victim told cops he was riding a Manhattan-bound 2 train near the Eastern Parkway station at 12:15 am when five teenagers approached him. One of them whacked him in the mouth, snatched his $500 iPad, and they all ran off the train at the Bergen Street station — leaving the poor guy with cuts on his face.
Ruby Thursday
A scoundrel stole a bejeweled bracelet from an apartment on St. Marks Place on March 15.
The 25-year-old victim told cops she left her home near Fourth Avenue at 7:15 am, returned at 9 pm, and discovered that her ruby bracelet, an engagement ring, and four Mac laptops worth $6,000 were all gone.
There was no sign of forced entry — and only two other people have keys, she told cops.
Check, please
A crook swiped some cash from a Mediterranean restaurant on Fifth Avenue on March 14.
A worker at Miriam, near Prospect Place, told cops that a thief climbed through a side window while the eatery was closed at around 1 am, then stole $200.
The restaurant had an alarm but someone had disabled it.
Eye witness
A thug beat up a clerk at a food shop on Flatbush Avenue on March 13.
The victim told cops he was working at a shop near Bergen Street at 10 pm when a group of teenagers walked in. One of them pushed the health snack rack over, threatened the clerk, and ran away. The worker chased after him but the quick-moving kid hit him in the face with a metal object, leaving him with a gash near his eye.
Book ’em
A thief jacked some jewelry from a car parked on Flatbush Avenue on March 12.
The 23-year-old victim told cops she left her gray 2007 Mazda near Empire Boulevard at 2:30 pm, then went to the library. She came back 40 minutes later and discovered a rear window shattered — and her a gold charm necklace and a $2,000 IBM laptop gone.
The graduate
A perp stole some alumni jewelry from an apartment on Seventh Avenue between March 7 and 11.
The 28-year-old victim told cops he left his home near Union Street for vacation, then came back four days later. That’s when he discovered someone had climbed up a fire escape and snatched his $800 college ring from Washington — and $1,300 diamond necklace.
