The Hampton Jitney, launched in 1974 with the goal of reducing traffic congestion and the carbon footprint, prides itself on doing everything in a green fashion — its motor coaches run on a bio-diesel blend and the metals and oil are recycled and re-used.
Last year, Hampton Jitney started servicing Brownstone Brooklyn, heading to both the Hamptons and North Fork from Park Slope, Boerum Hill and Brooklyn Heights on Fridays and making return trips on Sundays.
