That weird−looking thing sitting on the end of Pier 2 in Sheepshead Bay isn’t part of any cheesy “Bio−Dome” sequel, but it is home to four forward−thinking artists with a starry eyed vision of the future.
The Waterpod Recycling Project, as it’s known, is docking in all five boroughs in an effort to raise awareness about the viability of sustainable living.
Outfitted with hydroponic tanks, solar panels, compost bins and more, the giant golf−ball like structure is actually made of recycled material commonly found throughout the city.
Visitors are encouraged to come on over and check the futuristic digs for free.
The Waterpod will remain in the Sheepshead Bay Marina until July 6.
