Welcome back, doc

Let’s hear it for the good news!

Dr. Jack Choueka, chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center, announced that Dr. Ahmed Saleh has joined the Orthopedic Spine Surgery team, bolstering the hospital’s comprehensive orthopedic services.

“We’re delighted to expand our Orthopedic and Trauma Services with the expertise that Dr. Saleh brings to his new role at Maimonides,” said Dr. Choueka.

Dr. Saleh is a graduate of the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College, and board-certified and fellowship-trained at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

This is a homecoming for Dr. Saleh, the former Chief Resident in Orthopedic Surgery at Maimonides, and he is thrilled to return to his old stomping ground.

“I’m looking forward to working with the accomplished orthopedic team at Maimonides,” said Dr. Saleh. “It’s an especially exciting time to be coming on board, with the recent establishment of the Trauma Center at Maimonides.”

Dr. Saleh specializes in the treatment of neck and back disorders for both adolescents and adults, with a special interest in spinal deformities such as scoliosis and kyphosis, spinal trauma, and degenerative diseases of the neck and back. He treats a broad range of neck and spinal disorders including cervical myelopathy, cervical and lumbar spinal stenosis, radiculopathy, herniated discs, neck and lower back pain, degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, sciatica, and spine fractures.
