Ambitious, dedicated reporter with a micro-local mindset wanted
Brooklyn Paper is seeking a full-time reporter to cover local news, community meetings and other events in North Brooklyn. The reporter will be responsible for writing between 5-7 stories per week, working in the field and the office at times, covering a variety of topics including crime, government, human interest, business and real estate.
The reporter is ambitious; passionate about journalism; has great communication, reading and writing skills; is people-friendly; and loves breaking great, interesting stories that no one else has. Entry-level position includes health insurance and other benefits; journalism, history, communications or English majors preferred.
