The best high school basketballers in New York, the nation, and the world bounce into the Barclays Center for the Jordan Brand Classic. The international game will take place at 2:30 pm, followed by the New York regional game at 4:30 pm, then the main event at 7 pm.

The Wei back

Ai Weiwei is back in Brooklyn — sort of. The famed Chinese artist and dissident, who lived in Williamsburg in the ’80s, is not allowed to leave China, but his work will be at the Brooklyn Museum for his latest exhibition “Ai Weiwei: According to What?”

Folk off

Gather up your kin and head down to the Brooklyn Folk Festival, taking place at the Bell House April 18–20. This final day of folky festivities will include performances from Jerron “Blindboy” Paxton, Hubby Jenkins, and the Whiskey Spitters, plus a square dance, a Pete Seeger sing-a-long tribute, and of course, the festival’s famous banjo tossing competition.

Parton glance

Celebrate Secretary’s Day (which is apparently a real thing that exists) at Nitehawk’s screening of the 1980 film “9 to 5,” in which Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin, and Jane Fonda play, yep, secretaries. Before the movie, there will be a performance by “Brooklyn’s premiere Dolly Parton tribute band,” Doll Parts, plus complimentary martinis.

Swede dreams

The Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival is the largest contemporary music festival in the Nordic region, and now it is the largest contemporary Nordic music festival in Brooklyn! Top musicians and composers from Scandinavia, Iceland, and Finland will play at the Issue Project Room April 23–26 for the first Ultima Festival New York.
