Oh Christmas twee

Because you can never have too many Brooklyn-themed T-shirts or items of jewelry made from old bicycle parts, check out the hand-made wares of some 200 makers at the Renegade Craft Fair Winter Market in Fort Greene on Nov. 23 and 24. Stock up on unique stocking-stuffers or make your own — there will be a workshop for creating knitted necklaces and embroidered gift tags.

Bag some crafts: Bag-builder Shelter is just one of 200 indie brands and makers that will be at the Renegade Craft Fair Nov. 23–24.

11 am–6 pm at Skylight One Hanson (1 Hanson Pl. at Ashland Place in Fort Greene, www.renegadecraft.com). Free.

Cat power

Are you the next Claude Meow-net or Pablo Pi-cat-so? Brooklyn artists will compete in a live paint-off at Williamsburg’s the Active Space on Nov. 23, with a focus on the highest form of art known to man: cat paintings. Each feline-themed masterpiece will then be auctioned off, with all profits going to the Brooklyn Animal Resource Center.

6 pm at the Active Space (566 Johnson Ave. at Stewart Avenue in Williamsburg, www.thetakedowns.com). Free.

Go up to 11

Rather sing “Master of Puppets” than “Don’t Stop Believing” or “My Way”? Don your filthiest black jeans, comb your mullet, and head to Heavy Metal Parking Lot Karaoke at Bar Matchless, where belting out a metal song scores you a free shot of whiskey.

10 pm at Bar Matchless [557 Manhattan Ave. at Driggs Avenue in Greenpoint, (718) 383–5333, www.barmatchless.com]. Free.

Who's there? Dress up like this “Doctor Who” fan to win prizes at Powerhouse Arena's trivia night on Nov. 22.
