Oh Mother Nature! On who else’s whims do we base our weekend transportation choices? Only she dictates whether we’ll be standing on a train platform this weekend, waiting for a train that has yet to arrive. Yet there is one force that can be more temperamental than Mother Earth: the MTA. Thankfully, it’s not looking so bad this weekend, folks.
All changes are from Saturday, May 12 at 12:01 am to Monday, May 14 at 5 am unless otherwise noted:
2: No trains between Flatbush Avenue and Franklin Avenue. Take the free shuttle.
3: Service is extended to the New Lots Avenue station.
4: No trains between Manhattan and New Lots Avenue. Take the 3, N, Q, or R trains.
F: Manhattan-bound trains run via the A line from Jay Street-MetroTech to Manhattan.
G: No trains between Hoyt Street-Schermerhorn Street and Church Avenue from 11 pm on Friday to 5 am Monday.
N: Coney Island-bound trains are rerouted via the D line from 36th Street to Stillwell Avenue from 6 am to 8 pm, Saturday and Sunday.
Q: Coney Island-bound trains run express from Prospect Park to Sheepshead Bay from 11:30 pm on Friday to 5 am on Monday.
