Scrappers 4

Cyclones 7

Thursday, July 15 at MCU Park

Yet another double-digit hit explosion — plus six RBIs by Brian Harrison — powered the first-place Cyclones to their third straight win.

Brooklyn got on the board first in the second inning, thanks to Harrison’s second homer of the year.

The Scrappers got to Cyclones starter Chris Hilliard in the third, tagging him for three runs, but that was pretty much all that Mahoning Valley wrote.

The Cyclones regained the lead for good with four runs in the sixth — the key blows being singles by Cory Vaughn, Jeff Flagg and J.B. Brown, plus a two-run double by Harrison.

Harrison added a sixth RBI in the eighth inning on a single.

The first seven men in the Cyclone lineup all got at least one hit in the game.

Hilliard was charged with all four Scrapper runs, but the Cyclone bullpen shut down the pride of Ohio for the last 4-2/3 innings.

The next Cyclones home game is tonight at MCU Park [1904 Surf Ave. at W. 19th Street in Coney Island, (718) 449-8497]. For info, visit www.brooklyncyclones.com.
