Butcher blast
The wife of the owner of a 15th Avenue butcher shop was shot in a robbery on Dec. 18.
Police said that the woman was putting money in the register at Romeo Brothers Meats and Foods near 78th Street at 4:30 pm when the unidentified suspect burst in and started blasting away.
Several shots hit the woman, allowing the thief to steal an undisclosed amount of cash from the register as his victim writhed in pain on the floor.
He fled, but a few minutes later, the owner of the store returned, finding his wounded wife.
Police said that the woman was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center where she was listed in stable condition.
Cash for bumblers
A note-passing bandit with a weak spine is being sought for attempting to rob the Citibank on 86th Street on Dec. 22.
Workers said that the suspect entered the bank just before 4 pm and slipped a note to a teller reading, “I have a gun. Give me the money quickly.”
But rather than waiting, the itchy thief hotfooted it out of the bank after seeing the teller turned towards a manager with the note.
Car raid
A thief looted a car filled with everything needed for a holiday to remember: jewelry, a credit card and three bottles of liquor on Dec. 19.
A 34-year-old 74th Street resident told cops that he had parked his Nissan Altima near 13th Avenue at 11:30 pm, but when he returned to it at 10 am the next morning, he discovered that someone had broken his passenger-side window and taken the goods.

A 13-year-old boy had his iPod ripped away from him during a Christmas Day walk.
The teen told cops that he was nearing the corner of Fourth Avenue and 83rd Street at 5 pm when a thief — possibly doing some last-minute Christmas shopping — ran past and grabbed the popular digital music player from his hand.
Vuitton villainy
A thief snatched a pricey Louis Vuitton handbag from a woman’s cart at the 86th Street Duane Reade on Dec. 21.
The 46-year-old victim told cops that she was perusing the aisles at the store, which is between Fourth and Fifth avenues, at 7:50 pm when someone removed the $1,300 handbag, which contained an $800 wallet, $300 and some credit cards, officials said.
