A taxing ride

A woman punched and robbed a taxi driver on W. 12th Street on Aug. 13 — leaving him with a black eye.

The victim told police that the woman he picked up at W. 21st Street and Mermaid Avenue became disgruntled at her fare and demanded her money back near Neptune Avenue at noon.

The wretch climbed over to the front seat and struck the driver with her fist closed around her cellphone, before getting out and going around to the driver’s side to steal $200 from the door, according to cops.

Police say she is 5 feet with short hair, and was seen wearing a dark-gray hoodie, black pants, and black shoes.

Carnival bruiser

A carnival worker carried out orders to assault his fellow employee after an argument about pay on Surf Avenue on Aug. 16.

The victim was working on a carnival game near Stilwell Avenue and got into a dispute with his boss about pay at 11 pm, police said. The victim told police that his boss instructed another employee to assault him, upon which the brute struck the victim’s leg, hip, and neck with a pipe.

While the victim was on the ground he was also kicked by an unknown woman, according to cops.

Phone snatcher

A scoundrel snatched a man’s phone from his hand at Neptune Avenue on Aug. 19.

The victim told police he was smoking between Brighton Fourth and Brighton Fifth streets at 10:40 pm when the man approached him and asked him for a cigarette. The jerk then snatched the victim’s black Motorola cellphone from his hand and fled towards Ocean Parkway, according to cops.

Police later found the phone and returned it to the owner without any damages to it, cops reported.
