Good guy knifed

Someone stabbed a man with a steak knife as he tried to break up a fight on Atlantic Avenue on Feb. 6, cops said.

The good Samaritan told police he tried to stop a dispute between several women near Nevins Street at 9 pm. His thanks was a knife to the left arm, according to the police report. He told cops he did not want to press charges.

Card swiped

A crook swiped a purse that was left unattended in a department store on Fulton Street on Feb. 9, police said.

The victim told cops she was in the store between Duffied Street and Albee Square and set her pocketbook down. When she returned to the bag at 5:25 pm, she found her credit card missing, and her bank said $150 in transactions were made shortly after, a police report said.

Shoplifting crew

Five bold shoplifters ransacked a Smith Street clothing store on Feb. 7 — taking $2,370 worth of merchandise in a flash, police said.

Police report the quintet entered the store between Dean and Bergen streets at 6:30 pm and started grabbing goods. They took off before anyone could stop them, cops said.

Can’t call 911

A thief snatched a man’s cellphone from his hand as he walked down Flatbush Avenue Extension on Feb. 6, police said.

The victim was using his mobile device near the corner of DeKalb Avenue at 1:40 pm when a lowlife ran up from behind and grabbed the phone with both hands, according to a police report. The crook took off on Flatbush towards Willoughby Street, police said.

Violate probation

Cops cuffed a teenager who they say stole the backpack of another teen leaving an Adams Street probation office on Feb. 3.

The victim noticed he was being followed after leaving the office at 5 pm and started running, cops said. Six blocks later, at the corner of Smith Street and Atlantic Avenue, the victim dropped his Jansport knapsack when the suspect caught up to him and hit him in the face with something metal, police said. Cops arrested the 16-year-old suspect minutes later.

Disorder in the court

An angry punk knocked down a court officer in the criminal court building on Schermerhorn Street on Feb. 7, according to police.

The lout pushed the lawman to the ground at the building between Smith Street and Boerum Place at 11:45 am, before fleeing on foot down Schermerhorn towards Hoyt Street, cops said.

Scarred behind bars

Two prisoners badly beat a fellow captive in Brooklyn Central Booking on Feb. 7, cops said.

The victim had his eye socket and nose broken during the beating at 8 am. He told cops he did not see his assailants.

Bad pickup

Police arrested a bar-goer who they say hit a man over the head with a beer bottle in front of an Atlantic Avenue watering hole on Feb. 8.

The man told police he was talking to the woman and her friend inside the bar between Clinton and Henry streets at around midnight. He went outside to meet someone after about an hour and the two woman came out after him, according to a police report.

When the guy tried to talk to the ladies, one of them yelled, “Stay away from me,” and clobbered the fellow with a glass beer bottle, then walked away, police said. Cops arrested the woman shortly after at the corner of Livingston Street and Boerum Place.

Air wallet theft

A hacker stole the credit card information of a woman who lives on Gold Street on Feb. 28, police said.

The victim, who lives between Myrtle Avenue and John Street, told police she never lost her card, but that someone charged $1,238 to her account.

Now you see it

A quick culprit grabbed a woman’s cellphone right out of her hand on the Bergen Street subway platform on Feb. 3, cops said.

The woman was waiting for a train on the Coney-Island-bound side of the station at 8:45 pm, reading on her cellphone, according to police. The thief snatched the phone and ran out of the station so quickly that the victim only saw him from behind, police said.

Read and weep

A man’s smartphone was stolen from his hand as he road the Coney Island-bound F train on Feb. 3, police said.

A bandit grabbed the device out of the hand of the unspuspecting rider and jumped off the train at Bergen Street at 9 pm, according to cops.

Spill and steal

A group of tough guys spilled a woman’s drink and stole her cellphone on Boerum Place on Feb 4, police said.

The woman was standing on the sidewalk near Bergen Street at 2:20 pm when a group of young toughs approached her, police said. They distracted her by knocking the drink out of her hand, then took her phone and vamoosed, according to a report.
